David Dueland, MD

Dr. David Dueland has undergone extensive training and education, culminating in board certification in orthopedic surgery. He graduated medical school from SUNY Syracuse in 1986, following this with an internship at Geisinger Medical Center completed in 1988. His residency in General Surgery was practiced at Kings County Hospital, completed in 1989. Then transferring to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery, completed in 1993. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine, specializating in this area of orthopedic surgery, at Health South in 1994.  Through establishing his own practice in Cullman, AL, Dr. Dueland has shown his commitment to providing stellar orthopedic care to the local community and surrounding areas. His qualifications and experience make him well-suited to address a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related medical needs for his patients.


Dr. Dueland is married, and has 5 children- 3 sons and 2 daughters. Currently he has three children attending the University of Alabama, and one is an alumni. All of his children attended St. Paul's Lutheran School Primary School, Cullman Middle, and Cullman High School.

Ben Gomez, MD

Dr. Ben Gomez is a highly trained and experienced orthopedic physician. He graduated medical school in 1985 from Uniformed Services University. Following this, he completed his internship at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1986. His residency was completed in 1993 also at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Gomez is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic surgery. In 2016, he completed his Master in Business Administration from Auburn. Cullman Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine P.C. has been blessed to have him as an orthopedic surgeon and physician since 1997.


Dr. Gomez is married and has 2 sons. Both sons graduated from Cullman High School. When he is not busy at his medical practice, he enjoys flying and holds a Commercial Instrument rating as a pilot. Dr. Ben Gomez's background shows his commitment to both medical expertise and business acumen, making him a well-rounded professional in his field.

Tommy Mullican, PA-C

Tommy Mullican is a physician assistant, certified (PA-C) at Cullman Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine P.C. He earned an Associates Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Radiologic Technologist in 1995.  Next, he completed another Associates Degree at Wallace State Community College specializing in Sonography in 1997. After this, he completed his Bachelor of Science as a Physician's Assistant in 2006.


Tommy is married and has two children, both who graduated from Fairview High School. He also has one grandson. When Tommy isn't spending time with his family, he enjoys golfing and playing music.

Patrick Harbison, CRNP

Patrick Harbison is a certified nurse practitioner (CRNP)at Cullman Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine P.C. Patrick completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. He then continued his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with the completion of his Master of Science in Nursing (Family Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program) in 2014.


Patrick was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama. He is married, and is the father to four young daughters. Patrick became an RN in 2006. He has experience in Emergency Medicine working in both the Cullman and Decatur Emergency Rooms as well as in the ICU at Carraway Methodist Hospital.
